Gymnastics is at the forefront of our lives every single day. What started as an activity has grown into a full-on obsession for our son — and honestly, for the whole family. Cartwheels in the hallway, floor routines in the living room, commentary during bath time… you name it.
As his passion has grown, we’ve discovered all sorts of toys, games, and books that help him stay connected to the sport even when he’s not in the gym. These aren’t just things to keep him busy — they’re ways for him to play, learn, and express his love for gymnastics in his own creative ways.
🧸 Our Favorite Gymnastics Toys & Games
In our house, gymnastics is more than a sport — it’s a game, an imagination engine, and a daily storyline. Whether it’s full Playmobil floor routines or a plastic gymnast struggling to stick the landing for the hundredth time, these are the toys and games that actually get played with (and played hard).
🎮 Fantastic Gymnastics

This one’s a hit — and also kind of hilarious. The goal is simple: swing and stick the landing. The reality? Not so easy. My son has spent hours trying to master it. It’s weirdly addictive and definitely fun to cheer each other on. There are knockoff versions too on Amazon, but this is the original.
🏋️♀️ Playmobil Gymnastics Sets

- Playmobil Gymnastics Training Set
- Playmobil Rhythmic Gymnast Duo
We’ve hosted full-on meets in our living room with these. The little figures are posable enough to perform all kinds of routines, and my son’s creativity takes over from there — complete with judges, music, and commentary.
💖 Also Worth Checking Out: Barbie & American Girl Gymnastics Sets
- Barbie Gymnastics Playset
- American Girl World of Sports: Gymnastics Set
While we don’t own these (yet), they’re very popular and perfect for kids who love bringing gymnastics into doll play. The Barbie set comes with accessories and medals, while the American Girl option offers amazing detail — if you’re okay with the higher price tag.
📚 Gymnastics Books We Love
Books have helped our son deepen his knowledge of gymnastics — from basic history to emotional stories of perseverance. Whether it’s learning about real-life gymnasts or flipping through pictures while upside down, these titles are always in rotation.
📖 Simone Biles Little Golden Book

We got this for Hanukkah, and it’s still a favorite. It’s accessible, inspiring, and just the right length for bedtime reading — often followed by a few beam skills in the hallway.
📖 Mia and the Win From Within

This story is a great intro to growth mindset and confidence through a gymnastics lens. It’s uplifting and just the right tone for younger gymnasts.
📖 I’m That Girl by Jordan Chiles

We met Jordan at her book signing, and this book — especially the audiobook — helped us feel even more connected to her journey. While a lot of the story includes more mature content that’s definitely over my 5-year-old’s head, it’s an inspiring read overall. He loves Jordan, and we’ve always admired how her parents are raising not just a great gymnast, but a great human being.
📖 Trailblazers: Simone Biles

Once your kid has outgrown the Golden Book, this one gives them a more comprehensive (but still digestible) look into Simone’s life and journey.
📖 National Geographic Kids: Gymnastics (Level 2 Reader)

Great for early readers and packed with fun facts. Our son loves pointing out skills he now recognizes from watching competitions. He always loves the jokes on the pages and it’s a good blend of history and general knowledge. For a 5 year old it’s also perfect for practicing reading since it’s something he loves.

🎯 Final Thoughts
Everything in our house becomes gymnastics-related — action figures, LEGOs, even forks during dinner. These toys, games, and books help fuel that passion in a way that feels both creative and supportive. And if you’re just getting started in the gymnastics world, these make great gifts to nurture your kid’s excitement. Have a gymnastics crazed kid?
